Cynthia J. LaClair, Esq.

Cynthia J. LaClair, Esq., (formerly Cynthia J. Tippins) has been engaged in a private law practice limited to complex matrimonial and custody litigation for twenty-seven (27) years, since her 1988 graduation from Albany Law School. She began as a law clerk, then Associate with the Law Firm of Timothy M. Tippins in Troy, New York and became partner in Tippins & Cornaire, PLLC. In subsequent years, she formed her own private firm and was partner in Harris, Conway & Donovan, PLLC from 2009 until September 1, 2016 when she and Lauren K. DeLuca, Esq. formed LaClair & DeLuca, PLLC.

Ms. LaClair is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and lectured for several years for the MatLaw Seminar continuing legal education program, as well as, New York State Bar Association programs. She is a member of the Albany County Bar Association and the Capital District Women’s Bar Association.

Ms. LaClair is a 1985 summa cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and resides in Brunswick, New York with her husband, John LaClair.

Lauren K. DeLuca, Esq.

Lauren K. DeLuca, Esq. has been engaged in a private practice focused on complex matrimonial cases, custody litigation, and enforcement proceedings since graduating from Albany Law School. She has extensive experience with evidentiary hearings and depositions, net worth preparation and analysis as well as discovery management. Ms. DeLuca is admitted to practice in New York State and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. In 2016, Ms. DeLuca was named as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers.

In addition to her practice, Ms. DeLuca lectures for MatLaw's Continuing Legal Education program twice annually in various cities throughout New York State. She is a member of the Albany County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the Capital District Women’s Bar Association.

Ms. DeLuca grew up in Greene County and now resides in Selkirk, New York. She graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science from Cornell University, where she was an active member of the Western Equestrian Team. Ms. DeLuca then obtained her law degree from Albany Law School of Union University. While in law school, Ms. DeLuca gained experience through internships in both the Saratoga District Attorney’s Office (through the Albany Law Clinic & Justice Center’s Domestic Violence Prosecution Hybrid Clinic) and the New York State Attorney General’s Office. Ms. DeLuca was employed as a law clerk and later associate attorney at Harris, Conway & Donovan, PLLC before partnering with Cynthia J. LaClair (formerly Cynthia Tippins) to form LaClair & DeLuca, PLLC.
